Hi, I’m Joe White
Since my first job as a paperboy, I have been around all types of houses. Most of my career has involved buying, selling and rehabbing houses, then I spent twenty-five years as a home inspector.
That may help explain my love in designing and crafting birdhouses with no two being the same. You may have noticed them throughout Riverside Park in the Historic Stockade area of Schenectady NY.
I started off 7 years ago making cutting boards as Christmas gifts and soon requests started rolling in from family and friends. Woodworking is an art form and I look for exotic woods and enjoy blending different types of wood together.
My love of woodworking has grown to include different shapes and designs of cutting boards, gift boxes, industrial tables, and of course birdhouses. Since the Pandemic pushed me into retirement, I decided to make my avocation into my vocation.
